Rad Musician + U of A Prof  John Melillo and local poet Brandon Shimoda organized the first SOUND / THOUGHT performance  a few weeks ago in Tucson – a chance for poets and musicians to perform together out in the desert, unpowered, under the full moon. The first one was a total success. I played a solo set of new songs acoustically and John played a John Cage piece and some Algae and Tentacles songs. Readings by East Coast poet Phil Cordelli, Tucson’s Dot Devota, and Portland’s Zachary Schomburg.

S / T II is happening in a few weeks with free improv percussion master Tatsuya Nakatani and local poet Joshua Marie Wilkinson
